Wastie is more than a bag—it’s my story in action. After graduating from UCSB with a degree in Environmental Studies, I set out to find my path. I tried small businesses, traveled widely, and kept seeing the same problem everywhere: waste piling up in places that should be cared for. Through it all, my parents’ support reminded me of the values that shaped me—community, responsibility, and persistence.

This photo with them captures the roots of Wastie. The idea is simple but powerful: give people an easy, wearable bag so they can take responsibility for their waste. Wastie is the product of lessons learned and the belief that small changes can create cleaner, better shared spaces for everyone.
